To highlight Baltimore ’ s Black-owned businesses and attractions , Visit Baltimore invited 5 top-tier journalists in the national media space to experience Baltimore ’ s Black excellence and the CIAA championship games . Hosted by Sagamore Pendry Baltimore , the journalists from Essence , Buzzfeed , Blavity , Fodor ’ s Travel , and more had the opportunity to explore attractions including the Reginald F . Lewis Museum , go on a history tour with Baltimore Heritage , dive into Baltimore ’ s art scene with a curated tour by local art publication BmoreArt and create their own 1 of 1 designs with a workshop led by Baltimore creative Akio Evans . Along the way , they also enjoyed meals at Black-owned restaurants including Papi Cuisine , BLK Swan , Rooted Rotisserie and The Empanada Lady .
