Optimizing in 2024

For the second year , Visit Baltimore partnered with REJ & Associates to plan and produce all paid advertising for the tournament . REJ ’ s CIAA team includes the expertise and firsthand experience to reach potential fans , including a graduate of North Carolina Central University , an HBCU school and a former member of the CIAA conference . Visit Baltimore also worked with REJ on all filming and video production for the third year .
This year , a grant from the State of Maryland allowed us to begin promotional messaging in November of 2023 and make enhancements in our media buy and local signage . We continued our digital-by-design campaign with nearly a third of all campaign impressions via digital , social and website channels . This strategy provides better tracking , in-market optimization and the ability to pivot messaging and targeting as needed . REJ produced custom creative that ran cross-platform , and included several new placements this year :
Local broadcast
• TV Spots ran on WJZ ( CBS ), WMAR ( ABC ), WBAL ( NBC ), and Comcast from the last week of January through the tournament , including a spot that ran during the Super Bowl !
CFG Bank Arena LED billboards
• Video signage on the new , corner-wrapping billboards on the Lombard and Baltimore streets ran for four weeks , including tournament week
