Advanced Directives & Being Prepared
Advance Directives are forms that give instructions about health care preferences for times when individuals cannot
speak for themselves. They ensure health choices are respected, and may give family members peace of mind because
their loved one's choices are known.
Advance Directives only pertain to health care decisions. They do not affect property or money. There are two types of

Living Will
A living will gives specific instructions about the health care
