Please join us as we break bread, fellowship, and laugh. That's right – laugh! Joyce Johnson with the
Breathing Association will teach us about the benefits of laughter and guide us through some laughter yoga
exercises.
There are many short- and long-term benefits of laughter:
Stimulates organs by enhancing the intake of oxygen-rich air
Soothes tension by stimulating blood circulation and aiding muscle relaxation
Improves the immune system by providing positive effects the opposite way
stress decreases the immune system
Relieves pain by causing the body to release its own painkiller
Lessen the effects of depression and anxiety
Helps people connect to one another
Please take the time to enjoy Joyce’s article “Remembering to Breathe” on page 5 about properly breathing
through stressors.
No RSVP necessary. We hope you will decide to learn and laugh with us!

I thought, ‘Age should speak; advanced in years should teach wisdom.’
But it is the Spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.
Job 32:7-8 (NIV)
