Why come to church? There are lots of reasons:
• Have an experience of worship
• Have an experience of community
• Meet Jesus
Those are individual reasons.
Does First Church exist just for those important reasons? No, First Church exists for even more than that. First church exists to change lives — not just the individual lives of the people here, but the lives of people beyond our walls.
By dreaming big, we turn some of our attention to what First Church can do for people in our congregation, our community, and our world.
By bringing justice and caring for “the least of these,” we change the lives of people we might never meet.
By acting together, we can make things happen that none of us could do individually. We become the hands and feet of Jesus, doing our part to bring the Kin-dom of God to our world.
Stewardship is how we give flesh and bones to our dreams!
