our time together with grace and candor, with love and

sadness, with prayer and well wishes, with acknowledgement

of what did not go well and with celebration of the things we will cherish about our time together.

I say this is a spiritual discipline because God is with us in it, because our character as individuals and as a church will be demonstrated in how we say “good bye”, because the process, while filled with complicated emotions, will be engaged in through prayer and conversation, through tears and smiles, through recognition of God’s Spirit with us and in us.

As you read this we are close to Jerusalem and that holiest of weeks. Please join us for the incredible worship events of that week. God be with you and fill you with holy joy and deep contentment in these special days.
