Monodel

What is your favourite song on this first album?

I don't have favourites. They (the songs) came about in different points in my life. At one point or the other each song ministered to me at my point of need. So I can't say that I have favourites.

When can we look forward for your second album?

I am happy to answer; the second album will be coming out September 14th 2013 and I can give you a little information. It is called "From my pieces", it's an eclectic album in that you'll see a softer side of me, a much hyper side of me. It's God really doing what he wants on this.

The prayer of my heart is always that if there is no anointing please God keep my tougue glued to the roof of my mouth, because i do not want to put out an album because its time to put out another album. I want it be that anionted that when you listen to it something in your life is either strenghten, renewed or edified.

This album is going to be really different than "I will praise you".

How many songs will be on this album?

We are still deciding because it's a lot of songs. More that likely, it will be ten or more and some of the songs are written by me, others I adapted.

Looking back ten(10) years ago, would you have seen yourself in this position?

I remember ten years ago, I would have been home.

I encourage myself with the scripture the steps of a God man are ordered by the Lord. I believe in predestination so much and I know that predestination is from God's stand point but I know that my life and the choices I make God already know. Looking back no! Going forward, go God!

Individuals may say that it's because you are out of the Caribbean why you are so establised in the gospel arena in terms of producing songs, CDs etc. What advice would you give to someone in their local corner, around the familiar people and they think that God has given them an idea or talent to use for his glory. But they think that they can't do it from where they are. What advice will you give to them?

The advice I would give them is that, you can. Technology has made the world a community. You can stay in St. Vincent, record an album, upload it on itunes, reverbnation, and it reaches the world. In the mind, you're putting limits on yourself.

Does being in America make it easier? It does because there are a lot of people here who are excellent in their trade, what they do.

Don't let the vision die, write the vision, the bible says, make it plain (Habakkuk 2:2) if that is what God has instilled in you. If you're doing it with self, it's going to fail, but with God, he will work it out that it comes through. Whatever he calls you to do he will find the people even though you can't. I will encourage them not to give up and even though you have the faith, you have to have the works.

Faith without works is dead and works without faith is also dead. You have to have both of them. You can't say God I believe and you're not doing anything, start writing your song with the vision beneath it. Start recording yourself on your phone and have someone listen to it and critic you.

You have to put yourself in a position where that can be manifested.

You are from the Caribbean, what are the different genres of music that you use?

It's gospel, raegge, soca-gospel, praise and worship, calypso. It's eclectic, a bit of everything.
