Welcome readers to the second issue of Chronicle Magazine.
In the words of Philip Pullman, “After nourishment , shelter and com-
panionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.”
Here, now, I write you the story of Japan. But if there were a word to
describe Japan as a whole, it would be reverent. This is a nation where
every action displays a culture of deference, respect and obedience. It
encompasses daily life.
As much as I gained inspiration from travelling, I hope my writing can
inspire you to travel too.
(Warning: you may or may not start browsing Google for the next
cheapest flight deal to Japan.)
