I had the comfort of being around welcoming bunch of people here. Set in the campus’ location, there are a series of old and modern build- ings, hills, and thick lush fields. Everyday my eyes can roam free- ly to this view which is truly different from the view in Kuala Lumpur. It’s a compact university with everything located nearby. A few metre from the accommodation is where the faculty is. The reception, cafeteria and li- brary are all in the middle of the campus. You can even find Starbucks in- side the old building where usually students get together or do their work. In contrary to the quintessential gated university in Malaysia, this university is open to the public. Usually on Sunday I see community come for Sunday prayer at the cathedral while some days family in their sports apparel head to the sports centre. Me and my friends all stayed in the campus. Each of the flats has 9 rooms and com- munal kitchen. The kitchen has provided everything for our stay; fridges, stove, oven, microwave, pots, pan, cutlery, cup and plates. The rooms are comfortably large. Each room has its own bathroom with hot and cold water, radiator that will keep you warm, bed fitted with sheets and quilt, wardrobe, desk, chair and book- shelf. The rooms here are like the perfect sweet escape from home and living abroad. 9
