unwind, relax, rejuvenate, have fun, feel
safeguarded, sound and protected when
we are enclosed in the cosiness of our
divine abode.
Our relationships along with our
mental, physical & emotional health and
overall success and progress in life can
directly be measured by how well we feel
at our home and the vibes that it has in
its immediate atmosphere.
Every living and non-living things on
this earth, whether it’s humans, animals,
plants and trees or materialistic things
like cars, home appliances, furniture &
accessories, every little thing radiates
vibrations known as ‘auras’. They charac-
terise the physical and mental elements
of the substance which are affected by
the environment within its immediate
parameters.
According to ancient Indian Vedic
scriptures, vaastu which is considered
to be the science of architecture that
represents the fundamentals of the space,
design, furnishing layouts, arrangements
by adopting the rules of spatial geometry

1. The main entrance door
It holds utmost priority for being in
the right direction as per vaastushas-
traas it holds the vital formula for
having great vibrations not only inside
our home but in our lives as well.
Main door is considered to be the
‘archway to victory and progress in
life’therefore should be located and
governed with absolute accuracy.
n The main entrance door should be in
the north, east or north east direction of
the home. It must be constructed in a way
when the person is stepping out of the
door from inside of the home to outside,
he/she must face in front of him/her.
n The main entrance door should be
constructed with superior quality of the
wood and it must be the tallest & most
beautiful door compared to the rest of the
doors at home.
n Do not place any water body like foun-
tains etc outside the main entrance door.
n Avoid having shoe racks or dustbin
outside the main door.
n There should never be a bathroom/
restroom near the main door.
n Always have sufficient bright lights at
the entrance.
n Avoid having black color for the door.
n Decorate your main door with beauti-
ful name plates and auspicious torans.
n Avoid keeping heavy animal statues
or figures like elephants etc at the main
door.
n Make sure to have the main door
opened in a clockwise direction.
2. Ideal room for spiritual practices
Designing a sacred space always ben-
efits for the spiritual growth. One can
always have a silent time listening and
connecting to their higher self and re-

n East & North East sector of the home
can be utilised for creating a small sacred
space for practicing spiritual pursuits,
meditations and yoga.
