CHRISTUS Spohn Foundation 2019 Annual Report - Page 3
Thank you from the Board Chair
Dear Friends,
Growing up, my parents instilled in me that it is
always better to give than to receive, teaching me and
my two sisters that one’s greatest gift is the ability to
share one’s blessings with those around you. Each one
of us is given many blessings during our lives. Be they
talents or treasure, we are all capable of sharing our
good fortune with others. Our giving connects us to
others and creates a stronger and happier community
for us all. As I think back on the past year, I am
humbled by the blessings that each of you has shared
with CHRISTUS Spohn.
For CHRISTUS Spohn, 2019 was a year of new
beginnings and exciting opportunities, the highlight
being that we completed the Our Path Forward
Capital Campaign and opened the New Tower on the
Shoreline Campus. This state of the art facility is a
beacon of hope for our community; a place where our
doctors and associates give selflessly of themselves
each day to ensure the health and well being of those
in our great city. This new addition to the Shoreline
Campus builds on the foundation of serving the
community that Dr. Spohn started so many years
ago. It goes without saying that none of this would
be possible without your generous gifts and your
continued commitment to our mission.
Throughout this report, you will find the names of
our donors, be they foundations, corporations, or
individuals. Each and every one is vital to the ongoing
success of our hospital. For your generosity we are
most grateful. May you all continue to be graced with
many blessings.
With a most thankful heart,
Leslie McClanahan
