Thank you ! The Ledge follows four teenage boys who are very close . When one of them goes missing , the other three search for him . Two decades later , human remains are discovered beneath a ledge , bringing them back together .
You ’ re known for your unexpected narrative twists and turns . Do you always know what the twist will be when you start writing ?
Honestly , no ! I usually have a completely different twist in mind when I start . It ’ s only when I ’ m deep into writing that the real twist reveals itself , and then I go back and rework everything so it looks like I planned it all along .
In this book , we see the characters as teenagers and as adults . What drew you to the idea of intertwining their past and present experiences ?
Originally , the story focused solely on the teenage years , but I started reflecting on my own group of friends and wondered how the events we went through as kids shaped who we became as adults . That curiosity got me thinking about where these characters would end up , and as I explored that , it became the book ’ s first chapter .
We ’ re all excited to see what comes next for you . Do you have any projects on the horizon ?
I do ! I have a film out called Apartment 7A on Paramount Plus , I ’ m working on a couple of new screen projects ( can ’ t share details yet !) and am halfway through my next book , currently titled Book 5 . I hope I come up with a better title before it ’ s published ! crime & thriller
