CAMPUS ON A HILL HOSTS ANNUAL MISSIONS ’ CONFERENCE By Eileen Scott , Senior Writer

The annual LIGHT worship night and conference at Cornell this fall shined even brighter with the addition of Youth With A Mission ’ s Circuit Riders team .

Campus On A Hill hosted LIGHT from October 16-22 and approximately 500 students from Cornell and other colleges in the region attended the event . LIGHT includes a night of praise , exhortation , and prayer for the nations ; evangelism training ; and resources for summer missions trips . The hope is that Christians in Ithaca and all over the world “ would know God ’ s heart for the nations and be encouraged to pray , send , and go .”
The 2016 version of LIGHT was somewhat different from previous years in that Youth With A Mission ’ s Circuit Riders team was invited to hold simultaneously its Northeast tour , “ Carry The Love .” Members of the Circuit Riders prayed for students , led worship and lecture sessions , and held an evangelism workshop during LIGHT . Students were also empowered to reach out with the Gospel on campus during the week .
In addition to putting the focus on the need for missionaries to care for the marginalized and unreached people throughout the world , LIGHT also challenged students to see their campuses as ripe for the harvest .
“ LIGHT encouraged people to get out and evangelize in a way that

The importance of missions hits home for Liu , who is from Hong Kong . Each summer , the sophomore does missionary work in regions of East Asia where Christianity is not accepted . She has also participated in missions trips to New York City .
“ Growing up in East Asia meant that I was acutely aware of the persecution of Christians in the regions surrounding me , and while I grew up inundated with Bible stories , there were people living only a couple of
