90-minute show. Many students who
are members of the college’s various
campus ministries came out to sup-
port the event.
Ledane Ram, a freshman from
Schenectady, New York, was im-
pressed with Winter Whingding.
“It was a good show,” he said. “I
liked how they incorporated all the
other acts with X.ado.”
Ledane’s brother, Redal Ram ’17,
a member of the executive team for
Christian Union’s ministry at Dart-
mouth, said the spoken word perfor-
mance by Sun was memorable. Sun
performed three poems about the
recent presidential election, his expe-
rience as a Korean-American, and his
relationship with his little sister.
“I enjoyed listening to the spoken
word,” Redal Ram said. “The authen-
ticity with which he spoke encapsu-
lated X.Ado’s theme that everyone has
a story, whether spoken or not.” | cu

Women’s Prayer
Ministry Launches
Jones Family Singers
Celebrate Dr. King
On January 19, the Jones
Family Singers paid tribute to
Martin Luther King, Jr. with a
concert in Spaulding Auditorium.
The Jones Family Singers, an
ensemble from Markham, Texas,
seeks to share the joy of the Gospel
and the healing quality of song
with people of all backgrounds
as its musical mission, according
to The Dartmouth. “We want to
reach every area there is on this
creation and share what God has
given us — a ministry of love that
shows [how] God is able to do
exceedingly and abundantly above
anything you could ask or think,”
said Alexis Jones, lead singer and
youngest daughter of the Jones
family.
This winter, sophomore
Madeline Ditzler started a prayer
ministry for women connected
with various campus ministries at
Dartmouth.
The ministry hosts weekly
meetings over tea and coffee and
centers on prayer and personal
testimonies. Ditzler, a member
of Christian Union’s ministry at
Dartmouth, was encouraged to
lead the new ministry after seeing
the impact upperclassmen have
had on her at Dartmouth. She
hopes the gatherings will allow
Christian women across ministries
and class years to get to know
each other and to appreciate
more deeply the Lord’s work
on campus.
