"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth" As said above God created us just like him. Unlike trees, animals, waters, universe and anything else, he created the human being similar to him. And he gave us the dominion upon all the living things! Can you believe that? I mean each and every one of us has the power to rule over the nature, but why can't we really do that? As we know in present people face a lot of natural disasters, so my question is why can't we control them? Like Jesus stopped the storm, like Moses commanded the sea to be divided, like Joshua stopped the sun (practically the earth), like David stayed together with the lions and so on. The answer i know is that we are not so close to God as the past men in the bible were. They did those wonders because they did what they were expected to do by God.

For us it's more easier because God sent his beloved son as a human to rescue us from sin, it's because he loves us, cares for us. So if we won’t to use that power what do we have to do? In St.Matthew 5:13 Jesus says "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." Salt is something we put to prepare food, any kind of food whether it's served in a palace or just a cottage. So I don't need to describe how essential it is in our day to day life. But if there's no taste in it it's no use, just like it says if we do not complete our given task on earth what's the use? That's what i am going to tell. In the 15th & 16th verses Jesus says, "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Obviously no one lights a candle to keep it in an useless place, God needs us to be like a shining candle, like salt. Why? Because as said in the last part of verse 16th, people must see our good work and glorify God.
