Identity: The Christian Action Team (C.A.T.) is the umbrella organization for
the co-curricular Christian Service Initiatives at Saint Ignatius High School,
including the Arrupe Neighborhood Partnership
Living the Works of Mercy: C.A.T. hopes to further the mission of the
Church and the Society of Jesus by practicing the Spiritual and Corporal
Works of Mercy in our community
Membership: Regular attendance at C.A.T. meetings and active
participation in at least one C.A.T. activity each quarter
Saint Benedict Joseph Labre Ministry to the
Homeless: Sharing faith, food, and friendship on
Sundays with the homeless of Cleveland
Saint Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry:
Supporting those in need at the time of burial
with presence and prayer
Friends with L’Arche: Sharing food, friendship
and prayer each month with adults who have
developmental disabilities
Ministry to the Home bound: Accompanying
otherwise home bound parishioners to Mass at
their own parishes
Men of Regis: Visiting with people of the West
Side Catholic Center in a weekly program of food
and friendship
Saint Monica Monday Night Meal: Supporting
those seeking alcohol addiction recovery by
sharing in meal, prayer and companionship
monthly
Gonzaga Society of Prayer: Providing Comfort
and prayer on Fridays for the needs of the members of the Saint Ignatius community
Saint Michael Company to Support Our Troops:
Writing letters of support and conducting care
package drives to honor our troops
Saint Bernard Movers: Assisting neighbors, Labre
friends in transition and others on Mondays by
moving furniture and other items to a sustainable
and comfortable home environment
Snowmen for Others: Lightening the burden of
neighbors who need extra help shoveling and
de-icing their driveways and walkways
Saint Thérèse of Lisieux Corporal Support
Squad: Advocating for the material needs of those
served through service programs at Saint Ignatius
through solicitation and letter writing
Saint Francis Xavier Mission Collection Team:
Soliciting and distributing funds from students to
provide support to non-profit social service
agencies and families in emergency need
Christmas Food Drive: Preparing and delivering
food baskets in one day to more than 600 families
in Cleveland before Christmas
Spring Into Action: Gathering with neighbors
and other institutions for one day to renew and
refresh the neighborhoods of the Near West Side
of Cleveland through a variety of Christian service
projects and sites (Saturday, May 3, 2013)
