a shoe box, they would give old toys to toys for tots, and volunteer at the soup kitchen.
I am not saying that doing these things is wrong! Quite the opposite. But on December 26th the giving hearts seem to come to a halt. Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” This verse is saying that if you give, it will be given back to you. People who willingly give to others are constantly being blessed by the Lord! So don’t be afraid to give! Don’t stop it after Christmas! Make it a New Year’s resolution you actually stick to! In my opinion, there is no better way to show Christ’s love than to give. It doesn’t have to be money or things, it can be your time, or a simple smile.
