I know many of you girls want to know the answer to this question, which is why I scraped up the courage to ask it. I asked four guys what they all thought about modesty and to be honest with you I was completely surprised at what they had to say about it. Anyone who knows me knows I am a really shy person…so instead of going straight up to them and saying “Hey! Would you be willing to answer a few questions on modesty for me!?” Like a normal person, I chickened out and just Facebook messaged them. I am glad they were all so nice and willing to answer! (Because that would have made things really awkward for me) Some of these guys are in a relationship and some of them aren’t! So without further ado here is what they all had to say.

1.) When you see a girl dressing immodestly what does it look like to you?

Chris (age 22):

It looks like a girl feeling the freedom to enjoy what she's wearing. However, as a guy with a sinful nature, it can cause me to have impure thoughts (more so when I was younger). That, however is my fault and not the fault of mentioned girl. I would say that immodesty tends to speak an "easiness" to the girl's personality, but this is not always the case and to overgeneralize in such a way perpetuates objectification of women. The fault in my thinking and other males thinking comes from us and our sinful nature’s more so than it does for the immodest girl, who, despite dressing more revealing or immodestly, may still be living a pure life within her own heart as best she is able. In general, however, I tend to avoid immodestly dressed women (because of mentioned sinful nature), but also because I have a woman who is incredibly modest and far more beautiful than any immodestly dressed girl I've ever seen or met.
