1. Q: How do I match lip colors to my skin tone?

A: This is actually a really fun question. Do you know you can actually wear ANY color? The trick is to figure out your skin’s undertone. If you have red undertones it’s best to use blue based lipstick colors, for example Mac carries many red lipsticks but Russian red has a blue base so it carries well on red undertones as it neutralizes the redness, yellow undertones typically carry anything well. Because it is a neutral tone, you can wear colors like pinks, reds, oranges , and nudes. I have one color that I can wear everyday, its pigment matches my natural lip color and may be a bit brighter or deeper. I like to have that one lipstick in my purse all the time, to freshen up my rather dull lips and still look natural.
