Music moves people

3. CCG: Has it ever been hard continuing to pursue music even in your young age? Did anybody doubt you?

Danielle: When people measure success in the music industry, they tend to think of fame which is measured by the number of sales and the money that can be made. It may sound odd, but in all honesty, fame has never been a priority for me when it has come to my music; consequently, in that sense, pursuing music has not been something I have found difficult. That doesn’t mean I have not worked hard to get to where I am at right now. I have, but in life, if you pursue your dreams with the right amount of passion, along with the right intentions while loving what you do, it’s hard to classify it as difficult. I had always used music as an escape. So much so that even after I started recording music in Nashville, I never really told anyone outside of family and a couple of very close friends that I had been presented with the opportunity.

I've been fortunate as my family, friends and school have been extremely supportive. Since I waited until my first two songs were finished and actually coming out on ITunes before I told the majority of people, most friends and acquaintances were so surprised, they have been more interested in the future possibilities over doubting what I may be able to accomplish next.
