The New Year is upon us, and as I look back at this past year, I dwell on the things I didn’t do or didn’t say. I know that I shouldn’t; I know that dwelling on the past is pointless. But for some reason I just can’t get it off my chest. All the things I was too afraid to do or the things that almost left my tongue but didn’t. These are the things I regret. I have always wanted to live my life without having to one day tell my grandkids that I had regrets. I can see it now. I would tell them the stories of my life and while I was in the middle of a great memory, I would have to stop, because I never took the chance to make it better. I want the stories I tell my kids and grandchildren to last generations down the family tree. I want them to learn from them and teach them NOT to regret. I want to teach this to you as well. God knows that we struggle with trusting him and stepping of out our comfort zones. But sometimes your nice little safe bubble…isn’t safe at all. And that’s why God calls us to great lengths. My mother just told me today something very interesting. She said, “Kylie do you know why most teenagers rebel?” I said no, and she went to say this;

“God put people in the teenage stage because if every teenager was as sweet as they were when they were younger they would never leave the house!

to. They would never adult. So that is why the teenage stage is so hard for parents because if it wasn’t, they would never WANT their kids to leave!”
