The Journey of Christ Centered Girls...
All my life I’ve been a dreamer, someone who passionately works at turning fantasies into realities. I’ve dreamed about living on a ranch and training horses, inspiring young girls in their faith, helping the exploited women of the world.
I’ve dreamt it all, from the big to the small and back again.
Back in elementary school I was the queen of new ideas. Whenever I’d ask my friends to join me in my new adventure (maybe it was a new club that I had just created or a new game that I invented), they’ed roll their eyes and scoff, saying, “Kylie, you’re such a dreamer!” “Kylie, you know that’ll never work.” “Stop trying so hard!”
All my dreams seemed to vanish, slipping through the fingers of reality and into the abyss of insanity. My fantasies would always end up just that, a fantastical illusion that didn’t meet the criteria of my friends. During existence of my life, the only thing I’ve ever really wanted to do was help people. I wanted to make a difference in the world, to inspire others to live out their lives doing the things that they loved.
And that’s where words began to plant themselves in my heart as little seedlings, that when watered and cared for they bloomed into stories; stories of my life. That’s when I discovered journaling. I don’t remember when it started exactly, but when the words didn’t form in my mouth they would form in my hands. Soon I was crafting stories and fitting words together to create unique stories and letters that I would share with my family and friends.
A friend of mine was struggling, so I decided to write her a letter telling her how worthy she is. How special and loved she is. How, even during the hardest days, she could always find a friend in Jesus.
When I gave her the letter, she was so inspired that eventually the mean words and harsh actions of others didn’t bother her anymore and she was able to overcome her battle because of the words that God breathed into my heart. He used me in such an incredible way; through the words that bloomed in my heart I was able to make a big impact.
That’s when I decided to become a writer.
Words have always been important to me, but it wasn’t until they starting inspiring those around me that I decided to put them to good use. I was going to do something, through the grace of God, that would rock the world on its axis.
