Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there

are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the

manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and

to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another

gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to

distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.” 1

Corinthians 12:411

Now, being a missionary doesn’t mean you even have to go to another

country. There is SO much sin and

darkness in our world, in our schools, in our

government, and even in our churches and

hometowns. It is truly everyhwere! What’s the

hope? Knowing that the Lord is capable of reaching

to the lowest and darkness of places.

If the Lord is calling you to go to another place,

however, there is a term missionaries use called the

10/40 window. If you haven’t heard about that term,

it refers to those regions located between 10 and 40

degrees north of the equator, an area with the least

reached places in the world.
