Mgical isnt it?
Only once this analysis has been performed can I then recommend a range of products suitable for treating someone's concerns. Our skin will remain the same or worsen without the help of a proper skin care routine and the right use of products.Whether my client decides to follow me on a new path that will lead them to fresher and healthier skin is a choice only they can make.
Come the end of our session I will have freely provided them with all my knowledge and wisdom, showing them the road they are currently travelling on will never change for the better if they don’t incorporate my recommendations into their daily ritual.
So what do beauticians, clients, scary skin scanners and products all have in common with one another?
Becoming a Beauty Therapist has through various ways taught me about God’s role in our lives and how He desires nothing more than to help make us into the most beautiful of all creation while on earth. Just like I care about improving people’s skin and self-esteem, God cares so much more about perfecting our very hearts to represent that of His (Mathew 5:48). God wants each and every one of us to all become the best versions of ourselves, both inside and out, for this is glorifying. Yet, unlike the world’s narrow perception of glitz and glamour, beauty to God doesn’t begin with our bodies or complexions but with our hearts instead.
1 Samuel 16:7 says, ‘But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’
Our character is of more importance than our charm to God. True and lasting beauty reigns and radiances from the heart within. Our hearts are the first thing God looks at when we arise each morning, not our pimple breakouts or crazy bed hair.
Therefore, what if just like our skin we could each see the current states of our own hearts? What if there was a scanner available for exposing all the souls’ hidden intentions and weaknesses? What if beyond the pumping red blood and swirling purple veins you and me could identity the attributes that churned around our hearts? What if we could visibly detect signs of selfishness, jealousy, vanity, anger, hatred and bitterness? What if we could pinpoint the sins we were secretly battling and mirror them to the surface? If this were a reality, would it be truly beautiful to stare at or would it give you the wakeup call needed for change?
