Ferry, so Kirsty duplicated her Russell Island
store. The Macleay Island store is much
larger than its Russell Island counterpart,
situated half way down the island at the
local shopping centre, aptly named Emerald
Isle, which boasts two cafes, a Naturopath,
Hairdresser and Solar Specialist. Several of
her Russell Island practitioners also consult
at her Macleay Island store, but she also has
a resident Osteopath and Psychologist.
Kirsty supports a number of small
businesses through her stores under the
banner ‘Locals Supporting Locals’ and
provides space for beautiful locally made
crystal jewellery, dreamcatchers, gift cards
and honey. Every Sunday she hosts a
fruit and veg market at her Macleay Island
store where there is an array of locally
grown, market fresh and organic produce.
She prides herself on building businesses,
networks and healthy communities.
If you have you ever dreamed of an
island lifestyle whilst getting paid to do a job
you love, then here is your chance!
Since the inception of both the Russell
and Macleay Island stores Kirsty has been
able to call upon her partner to help her as
it is definitely a two person job, but due to
the growing expansion across both islands
and Chris’ return to his calling and passion,
which is Real Estate, they have decided
to put both stores onto the market. Kirsty
believes the business would be perfect for
a couple of like minded people who are
passionate not just about health but also
their community. Whilst both stores are for
sale Kirsty is happy to discuss the sale of
them individually to the right people. Kirsty
would be available to assist with not only
the changeover but in any other aspects of
the running of the stores going forward.
My visit to both Russell and Macleay
Islands left me feeling calm and relaxed,
like I had stepped into a portal reminiscent
of times gone by. The locals refer to it as
“island time” and I have to agree for me the
stress and clock watching was left on the
mainland.

change seize the opportunity and get in
