CHP Magazines CHP Magazine Winter 2019 #14 | Page 37

Meet the CHP Team back again. I’d love to go to Ulusaba in South Africa. I’d also love to visit the Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean. A pie in the sky entry on the bucket list would be Branson’s Necker Island (also in the Caribbean). I’d better mention Egypt and Machu Picchu too. What do you love about working at CHP? I have always loved creating things so helping to found the Complete Health Magazine is something I am extremely proud of. It continually grows both in size and quality. Each page, each article presents a different challenge and that is both stimulating and rewarding. What do you love about being involved in the natural health industry? I can honestly say that before joining CHP I was fairly ignorant as far as natural health goes. I have been blessed with a great constitution and have not had a pressing need to seek out this kind of knowledge. Having said that, my eyes have really been opened to a kaleidoscope of wonders! So to answer the question, what I love is having my eyes opened. What products do you personally love and why? I was very impressed with the results I recently had with Trim Pack. I have also become a regular consumer of Meadow and Marrow Bone Broth. What do you do in your free time? My what? I have long since forgotten what free time is. I am currently writing my third novel. They generally take about a year to write, and then of course there is the joy of rewriting to look forward to. Anyone who visits the CHP head office will probably be aware that I paint. I think there is a quote about there being a painting on every wall of the office. Art is something which is in my blood, inherited from my mum. What was the last book you read? One of the most recent books I read was “The Tattooist of Auschwitz”. I have read a few books about the horrors perpetrated by the Nazis. I cant say I enjoy these books, they are harrowing, but they do put your own life struggles into clear perspective. What is your all time favourite movie? There are so many movies I love. How do you pick one? I’ll pick 4. My favourite comedy is “The Life of Brian”. My favourite Sci Fi is probably be the 2009 Star Trek reboot. My favourite Action/ Fantasy would be “The Fellowship of the Ring” and My favourite drama would probably be the recent biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody”. What things are on your bucket list to do? Even though I have a pretty profound fear of heights, I would love to go into space. I have a love of astronomy and astrophysics, so the thought of being able to get high enough to take in a vision of our planet from outside it is a fantasy I would love to have realised. Being a writer, naturally I would like to see one of my creations on the bestseller list or on the big screen (which is a possibility. A Hollywood screenwriter is currently working on a 21 24 script!) If you were going to sit down to your last meal, what would you request? Last meal. I can remember once eating so much at the Marriott buffet that I was in physical pain for hours afterwards. The temptation with your last meal would be to gorge, but then do you want to die with a stomach ache? So rather than stuffing my guts, I would just like a piece of the finest steak the world has to offer, cooked by a top chef, washed down by a bottle of the finest wine. Lastly I would want someone smart, witty and engaging to share it with. In fact, thinking about it, the company is the most important part. What places are on your bucket list to visit? So many places to go! I’ve been very fortunate to have seen a bit of the world. When I was 8 my parents shipped the whole family over to Nigeria and that really opened my eyes and my mind to the wonders around the planet. I have a big connection with Africa and travelled back there to Zaire (now the Congo) in my early twenties. So I would like to go Autumn 2019 37
