apolis. Started in Leadership Development and Organizational Development. Switched to liberal arts because I am more inclined as an artsy kind of guy. I’m a writer, I’m a poet, I love my music! I was getting into the world of Internet radio, so I needed to learn about digital platforms. So I changed to Liberal Arts, with hopes of going back when I get my internet radio up and running effectively, for a master’s in Social Services. Presenting, Harold “HB” Bell, also known as “Jumbo Love”, entrepreneur, author, encourager and now College Graduate! Excerpts from our conversation: Chosen: What made you stick to go back to school after all Chosen: Because we graduated from High School together, I this time? HB: Honestly, Leah you know me well enough to know that you let the spirit lead you. The opportunity to go back to school really came about with me writing my book. I didn’t know that was going to be the reason why. So many of these things transpired when you let go and let God so to speak. I wrote the book Wordspiration to bring about awareness to my wife’s and mine Nonprofit, Community R.U.L.E. That led me to after writing the book to have the opportunity to talk to young people about how important continuing their education would be. The last speaking engagement that I had, I had a young man about 12 to 13 ask me where I went to college and graduated, because he wanted to be like me. Needless to say, that sparked and spurred me to say okay, you learned how to use these tools on the computer when you had to write your book. Now you can use these tools to go back and be educated. A lot of the excuses I made about not having time and all that to go back, I was so busy were a wash now because you can go back to school and do it all online. When I was challenged by that young man, my thing was about if I’m gonna preach it and teach it, I got to be about it. So that’s what spurred me to go back to school, the challenge of a young man that I was so emphatically telling, you have go get your secondary education in the 21st century or you will be limiting opportunities in your life.
