FALL 2014
Dear Coalition Members:
hoices, the Coalition for
Medicare Choices magazine, is
about you. It’s about the issues
that are important to you and
impact your life. With Choices, you can
read up on the latest activities of your
fellow Coalition members.
We also want to make sure you
get a chance to hear directly from
representatives in DC and hear what they
are doing to stand up for your Medicare
Advantage benefits. This edition features
four perspectives from a bipartisan mix
of members of Congress (pretty good
considering how little bipartisanship
there is these days.)
Choices isn’t just about the really
important things; it’s also meant to
provide some fun. Whether it’s creative
gift ideas, recipes, or activities, we want
to help provide a little break from the
hustle and bustle of everyday life. In this
inaugural edition, check out two recipes
that will add a little variety to your menu.

We also want to celebrate you and the
1.6 million members of the Coalition
because it’s your voices and your
stories that make the CMC possible. In
each edition we will profile members
of the Coalition like you. To kick us
off, we sat down with CMC member
Gordon Lipp, who talked to us about
why Medicare Advantage is important
to him, and what he likes to do in his
spare time (HINT: it involves carving,
but not pumpkins).
We hope you are as excited about
Choices as we are, and hopefully you
take advantage of the many easy ways
to share it with your friends, family, and
neighbors.
And by the way, if there is something
missing from Choices that you would
like to see – let us know. We want this to
be about your interests and the things
that matter the most to you.
