EDGE
of seventeen.
Tell me if this sounds familiar, your friend calls you up and is coming
over in a few minutes, many things will happen at that point. One of
which will be you cleaning up and organizing the stack of magazines
you’ve left on your coffee table. You’ll group them together and place
them in a fanning motion making sure they’re right side up, cover up
and before you move on to the cups in the sink you’ll take a moment
to decide which magazine should be on top...which magazine will tell
your guest who you are. It will be the statement you wish to represent
you...are you fashionable, are you relative.
It doesn’t end there, it’s one thing to have that designer tote bag, but
equally important what’s inside that bag for that long car or subway
ride...a few cosmetic musts, mints, pen and yes ‘the’ magazine.
Whether familiar to some or peculiar to others, it’s hard to deny
the power of print and with that...Welcome to CHLOE Magazine’s
seventeenth issue and never have I loved the printed magazine (all
magazines) more than ever. For me it’s the ease of reading and the
visual indulgence of today’s artists that provides the ultimate ‘me time’
where I can unplug from my computer screen and en joy a nice glass of
wine while flicking through a glossy magazine. The weight, the texture,
the smell of magazine is part of the mystique that makes me collect and
publish.
To be a part of this incredible industry and with the thousands of
positive comments and regard for our publication humbles me to no
extent. To have readers suggest CHLOE in their monthly magazine
purchases of LOVE, Vogue and Elle, it is quite inspirational and
motivating. Thank you to all!
Enjoy the weather and season.
