THE WIND & SUN ARE FREE Poem by Christine Kolmegies In the stillness, light breaks the darkness Slowly dissipating, the light gently caressing all bodies Every crevasse exposed Landing across the barren space Naked, I am born every morning with you Awaken dreams, I take notes Whispers from the wind, I have been gifted Keys to the universe from lips to lobe: “Soar with me from dusk ‘til dawn Be light, be shining, white light Light in thoughts, light in presence Intrinsically we will dance, we dance and change directions Gracefully moving throughout the shadows The light will permeate our existence Just dance and soar with me this way” I close my eyes The moment your warmth enters my existence, a vital rush I close my eyes I breathe, I feel you on my face, the tip of my nose, the curves of my lips I breathe, I feel you rest upon my skin In the darkness, orange sparks burst with explosions of blood red kisses upon my eyelids I breathe, I feel your energy invade my open soul, for you I open my eyes Something is different, I cannot hear you, I cannot feel you Tell me your secrets, where have you gone Patiently, I wait every morning for you Patiently, I know you will come and I will be reborn with you Showered in secrets of your gifts have you awaken me In the depths of the endless, aqua blue sky Knowing I will fall, circumvent through the darkness I am born every morning with you In light, of true intent, I open my wings In light, of the presence, I shall soar Both will catch me, we are one I am free
