Henderson also shares his challenges as an actor. “I do use things in my life for emotion.
That’s just who I am,” he says. “I believe acting is about making someone feel and believe
the emotion you are conveying. I’m making someone believe I am JR. It’s all about being
natural and believable. At the end of the day you have to know what role you play best, and
the best role is yourself,” he says.
With acting comes emotion, a task many of us would find a little difficult. “It’s never a fun
thing to bring up emotions that you put away for a reason,” Henderson says. “I’m using
real emotion. I bring it up, I let it affect me to convey something the same, and then I put
it away and forget about it for the time being. I’m usually pretty good about snapping back
into reality, but I do get affected while we are shooting sometimes. I know it is apart of my
job, and it can be a challenge, but I enjoy it,” he says.
Henderson’s inspiration as an actor and entertainer extend further with his future goals. “I
can’t wait to continue expanding my roles in films,” he says. “I have big aspirations to do
fun, fantasy stuff. I’ve always wanted to play a superhero! I love to take an audience on a
journey. I’m also working to become a producer because of my experience, knowledge, and
relationships in the business. I always need to be doing different stuff and continue to keep
it fresh, and because of the entertainment industry, I have the chance to do that,” he says.
The third season of Dallas will be premiering on February 24th 2014.
