ARTESIAN EXTRAORDINAIRE DELICIOUS Words by Sasha Alexandra C Whether you are just coming in for a coffee, a dessert, or looking for a nice meal, SUD prides itself on providing authentic food. Located on 716 Queen Street West, SUD Forno is one of Toronto’s go-to bakeries. The new shop recently opened up this past summer, and for those bread-lovers looking for quality, tradition, and a tasteful menu, this is the place to visit. Whether you are just coming in for a coffee, a dessert, or looking for a nice meal, SUD prides itself on providing authentic food. Simply walking into the bakery is a treat on it’s own with that delicious whiff of baked goods that lingers in the air; just a little teaser before you actually taste something. For those who don’t know, it is the bread at SUD Forno that distinguishes their success from that of other bakeries. With the expertise of Guiliano Pediconi, eminent Italian Master Baker and Artisan of Bread, and his best apprentice Fabio Papa, they have mastered the preparation and taste of bread that you can’t turn down. They bake with high quality flours and grains from a 3 generation old, family-run mill in the region of Marche, and use only 100% local grains, creating a familiar feeling of home. They do however have quite the variety of edibles on their menu; from desserts, to pastries, pasta, salad and over 15 types of pizzas, there is something for everyone. Conveniently located in the West End of Toronto, SUD Forno has a constant flow of people trickling in and out for their favourite treats. So when you’re either looking for a fresh meal or quick treat to take along with you for the day, SUD Forno will be sure to have something to fill that appetite.
