Being her favourite city to
live in (so far), New York
has everything the girl
needs. From the best
restaurants, to excellent
farmer’s markets in the
summer, and, of course,
broadway, Sami loves it all.
At just seventeen, Sami has
already accomplished more
than some people do in
a lifetime. Performing on
stage since infancy, she has
done film, television, plays,
and she’s incredibly proud
of her work.
Speaking with the wisdom that only a life in the spotlight can bring, yet with the tenacity
and innocence of a teenager, Sami says, “I can’t imagine my life without acting.”
The spring months in New York are, for Sami, the city’s most beautiful. “There is nothing
quite like Central Park in the springtime,” she says, “with its vivid colours and
brightness.” In her wardrobe, she attempts to replicate this, with pieces from New York
designer Nanette Lapore whose penchant for patterns and prints appeals to her young,
fun-loving attitude, as well as pieces from MiuMiu which represent the girly, flirty side of
her personality while still maintaining an edgy, coolness. The effervescent colours, she says,
make her happy, and all the pastels in mint-green and lavender epitomize spring. As for a
staple piece, Sami is rarely seen without her tiny horseshoe necklace by Sydney Evans.
