Cambria plays with a variety of finishes in
a space. A vintage-inspired maple butcher
block breakfast table integrates into the
Cambria island. The Cambria waterfall
design at the ends of the island, encase the
cabinetry and dishwasher and the extrathick 6cm tops add extra height and style to
the height of the countertop surface.

After four months of retrofitting their stunning new
state of-the-art showroom into an 1870’s cork factory
turned munitions factor during WWII, Cambria
opened its doors in downtown Toronto’s King and
Parliament design district in January 2012.
Heading up the design/build project, Ramsin Khachi
of Khachi Design Group and popular guest on
CTV’s Marilyn Denis Show, successfully designed
around the unique architectural details of the old
Parliament Street factory integrated the original posts
and beams, massive sliding wood doors and goldencoloured brick walls seamlessly into the modern
aesthetic of the newly designed space. With the stage
set to showcase Cambria quartz in all it’s glory, prominent Toronto design firms were invited to stretch their
design limits and create one-of-a-kind vignettes that
would inspire visitors with the endless design capabilities of Cambria. Eye-popping designs were created by
Jane Lockhart Interior Design, Ramsin Khachi De-
sign Group, Tomas Pearce Interior Design, Victoria
Shaw Interiors and Jeanette Ewen and tell a beautiful
story about one of nature’s strongest, most abundant
natural resources, quartz. In addition to the stunning
kitchens, baths and sitting room vignettes, a gallery
of full-size Cambria slabs, hung like fine works of art
throughout the 5,000 sqare-foot showroom, enable
