DEAD SEA
Everything here is, well, dead!
The saltiest water and the lowest
elevation a person can stand on,
on the surface of this planet.
This is the Dead Sea. Once again, try to
save some time to venture out towards Eilat
– a beautiful town bordering Jordan and
Egypt in Israel. It is filled with stylish ho-
tels, peaceful spas and a ton of water activi-
ties in the Red Sea. Unfortunately, this time
around we did not have time and could not
make it out there. Although we did visit the
Dead Sea for a relaxing mud bath and some
floating fun. A little tip, keep the sea water
out of your eyes and mouth, it is SALTY!
A major tip for the ladies: do not make the
mistake of shaving before you go. I forgot
to take my own advice and shaved my legs
prior to dipping in the water. Safe to say
my legs were on fire from the high levels of
salt! When first submerging in the sea, it
starts out a little muddy, but the deeper it
gets towards Eilat, the clearer it gets. The
turquoise colours begin to pop with the salt
banks all over. Overall visiting the Dead
Sea was an unforgettable experience, and
one that should be on the top of everyone’s
bucket list!
