Bermuda’s color scheme is over-
all dominated by bright, pastel
summer colors, reminiscent
of the island’s sorbet-colored
cottages and the crystal-clear
turquoise waters and coral-pink
sand beaches. Being just a
short two-hour flight away from
fashion capital New York City
translates into a great sense of
style on the island, mixed with
fashionable local influences.
Bermuda is a very posh loca-
tion, and Bermudians, just like
tourists alike, put emphasis
on a proper, polished and chic
appearance. On the streets and
beaches of Bermuda you will
find many current trends and
‘blogger styles’, from off-shoul-
der tops to crochet dresses, to
flat slide sandals to straw bags,
and lots of high heels.

It is unlikely that you would spot any resort fashion faux-pas such as
e.g. male tourists walking around topless, sandals in socks etc. The
typical resort style is a blend of preppy East Coast American with
modern European / British influences and a local nautical twist, just
like the overall culture of the island itself – watersports, especially
sailing, are big in Bermuda.
