The fall season can be bitter sweet. We hate
saying good-bye to hot summer nights, mojitos
and pom pom espadrilles, but with the change
in temperature and leaves comes a feeling of
renewal, new opportunity and, of course, fall
fashion.This issue encompasses that feeling of
starting anew and taking charge of your life. We
hear from powerhouse businesswomen who are
“doing it for themselves,” travel to London only
to “Escape,” chat with singer/songwriter/story
teller Frank Turner, showcase artists for whom
renewal is their lifeblood, and of course, there’s
the fashion.This fall we’ll see a resurgence of
colourful velvets, shearling coats and statement
furs. For those not yet ready to let go of your
summer wardrobe don’t fret, florals are still
going strong.We must embrace life’s changes the
way we embrace the changing seasons. It’s going
to happen regardless, so you may as well go along
for the ride. Better yet, get in the driver’s seat.
