From the disappointing thoughts that I felt after being removed from the group, came my first single, “Glo-Up” Featuring High Definition. I wrote the song to express how I felt being removed from the group, but that I would overcome these obstacles by putting them into my craft. I also wrote a rap remix to this song, when my Philadelphia Eagles made the playoffs, and they won the Superbowl. I even drew my own cover art, depicting a picture of my face. After releasing “Glo-Up”, my life began to spiral! I began doing radio interviews and performing almost every weekend. I was encouraged to create more music, so about a month later I wrote and recorded my second song, “Tryna Be Like Me” and debuted it on my first tour with the More life High End Runway Fashion Show Company, and Teen CEO Carly Black. I also wrote my first full rap single, “Trash Talk”, which introduced my alter ego, The Lone Lady Lyricist (LLL). Three months later I released my “Untitled” mini EP and also drew the cover art. I recently completed several collaborations, including writing my new single, “Do As I Please” which features, “Dirty”, and I am featured and wrote on the new album, "Nothing is By Chance" by High Definition on the track, “End zone".
While doing all of this I have also completed 3 independent tours, performing in venues from Philly, to NJ, DE, NY, CT, NC, SC, FL, CA and in an abundance of cities across my new home state of Georgia and I am currently writing on several projects for artists around the globe. I also coauthored a children's book called, “Daddy’s Big Secret, Jordan Learns the Truth” with my dad and we travel promoting both our book and my music. I continue to act in films and stage plays and have added the guitar and ukulele to my instrument repertoire and work with my parents, being responsible for registering, releasing, distributing and marketing my music.
Even though everything that I am doing sounds exciting and eventful it can be very stress filled.
I constantly have to keep up with school work, as well as my music career, which at times can be stressful. If I can give any one a piece of advice as a young person, it would be to make sure that you focus on your mental health. If you are in a new phase in your life, just starting in on a career that your are interested in or have been doing it for years; just make sure that you focus on you first. Because if you don’t, you could easily lose your love for your interests, and you won’t be happy with yourself. I learned at an early age, that without the love and support of my family, that I would not be able to live a happy and prosperous life.
