Hi, my name is Christopher Jenkins, I'm 12 years old and this is my brother Jabez Jenkins and I'm 13 years old. And we're the young, innovative designers and owners of Kings and Gents Accessories. We started sewing pillows with our mom when we were just 5 and 3 years old. When my brother was 7 he asked my mom to take us to the fabric store to get cartoon character fabric so we could make our own pillows and we did. Fast forward to when I was 9 years old, I asked my mom could we make 30 bow ties for boys and 30 hair bows for girls out of the scraps of fabric we used for the pillows for Career Day.

When I took the bow ties and hair bows to school I sold out within minutes. When I sold out so quickly I thought to myself that I could be successful in real life. So, I asked my mom could she take me to Atlanta to sell bow ties and Kings and Gents Accessories was born. We choose the fabrics, we cut the fabrics and we sew the fabrics. We make bow ties for boys by boys. We hand paint some of our bow ties. We have our own wooden buttons that we sew on some of our bow ties and we even make wooden cufflinks with our logo on them. Our goal is to give young boys a polished look and that's why our motto is: "being a gentleman is allowed". Our prayer is that our bow ties will be carried in Macy's and with God's help I know we'll get there.

I would also like to give other kids, just like us, a tip: be yourself and work hard and God will cause people to see you and recognize what you're doing. Your hard work will pay off if you just don't quit. We want you to always remember to be courageous and don't let fear stop you because you can be successful as a kid! Thank you and God bless.
