As per the old records, it is seen that Elephant procession started in 1891 at Chinakkathoor. At persent, 27 decorated tuskers gather in the ground with the accompaniment of Panchavadyam and Pandimelam at 4.30 PM which is an impressive view of festival. A glad uproar can be heard on the ground when they arrive in the ground. Stunning performance of the percussion and musical artists will demonstrate their utmost and make waves of delight in the hearts of art lovers. All desams try to get the upperhand on their part of celebration and they get an unstinted support from the people of Valluvanad in all cases.
