CSU DELEGATION VISITED NANTONG UNIVERSITY
CSU delegation—Jim Cooney, Vice Provost for International Affairs; Wei Gao, Associate Provost for China Programs; Mike Palmquist, Associate Provost for Instructional Innovation; Inger Johnson, Project Manager of CSU Online; Runhe Shi, Associate Director of Shanghai Office and Kaixu Bai, Coordinator of Shanghai Office visited Nantong University. President Cheng Chun welcomed the delegation and signed the MOU agreement.
President Cheng introduced the history and development of Nantong University. Both Colorado State University and Nantong University are comprehensive universities; have similar research areas and strong majors, so there are many possible collaborations between CSU and Nantong University in the future, such as student exchange, faculty exchange, cooperative education, joint research, curriculum development, and etc.
Two delegations talked about 2+2 program at undergraduate level, including major, admission requirement, course description, credit transfer; 2+1 program at graduate level, including the cooperative way, program goal, course development and responsibilities; and other possible collaborations such as continue education resources, non-degree programs, faculty training, etc.
美国科罗拉多州立大学副校长詹姆斯·库里博士、副校长高炜博士、副校长迈克·帕姆奎斯特博士、网络教育特殊项目主任英格·约翰逊、驻中国办公室副主任施润和博士、驻中国办公室协调员白开旭博士等一行访问南通大学。校长程纯接待了来宾。双方共同签署《国际合作谅解备忘录》，标志着两校正式建立战略合作伙伴关系。
程纯代表学校欢迎来宾来校交流，并介绍了学校的历史及发展现状。程纯表示，两校都是综合性大学，专业领域相仿，学科各有优势，合作前景广阔。他希望两校在学生交流、教师交流、合作办学、科研合作、课程建设等方面进行全面合作。
双方就本科生2+2项目的专业设置、入学条件、课程描述、学分转换等具体内容进行了交流，就研究生2+1项目的合作形式、培养目标、课程开设、双方职责等合作细节进行了探讨，就中外合作办学、远程教育资源共享、非学历教育合作、师资培训与进修等其他合作事项进行了协商，达成多项合作共识。
