The distribution and composition
of fire capabilities are out of
balance in most firehouses in the
country. The number of special
operation apparatus is low, and
their firefighting and rescue
capacities are insufficient for
most responses. The quality and

rescue, HAZMAT, smoke removal,
lighting, and communication

international standards. Apparatus
to handle fire and rescue operations
in high buildings are also in short
supply, especially including water

meter, high pressure and large
flow water supply vehicles and the
relevant equipment to equip these
apparatus. There is not enough highpower multifunctional trucks, antichemical rescue trucks, HAZMAT
response units, large-volume trailer
monitors, and other apparatus
to deal with dangerous chemical
accident. Large-flow, long-range and
high-power water and foam supply,
lighting, forcible entry and others
are also in short to face special fires

in big and large warehouses and
huge commercial buildings. Smoke
removal, combination rail and road
and other special devices cannot
meet the requirement of special
rescue mission in cities. Finally, the
rescue equipment for wild fire and
weather-related disaster response
is also in short supply, including
mountain rescue apparatus, allterrain vehicles, fire boat, and longdistance water supply system.
In terms of the problem about
various types of fire trucks, it also
has limited the fire capacity of fire
brigade in many places of China.
According to some statistics, there
are more than one hundred types
of fire trucks on firehouses of
different levels, which has made
it more complicated for fire truck
using, repair, spare parts supply
and relevant parts match. On the
other side, high -end fire trucks are
still mostly depending on import
and the imported fire truck needs
high cost to maintain and is difficult
to update, and there exists a lot
of some imported fire trucks who
have trouble but still work or can’t
be fixed. Take elevating fire truck
for example, in terms of imported
elevating fire truck, there exists
British Simon, German Metz, German
magirus, American Oshkos and
other more than 10 brands. Firemen
cannot be familiar with all types
of fire trucks, and some types need
high repair fees or are difficult to
purchase spare parts, therefore,
some fire truck has to be stopped
