Brody Wilmoth age #
PULMONARY HEMORRHAGE
Deedee and Brent Wilmoth had been married
for 13 years and had four miscarriages before
they finally had their miracle child, Brody. With
Deedee’s history of being high risk, she wasn’t
expecting to have Brody early after she made it past the 16 week mark. This
however, was not the case. At 27 weeks she started pre-term labor and two days
later had Brody by emergency C-Section. Brody was born weighing a tiny 2lbs
10oz and 14” long, which was pretty big for his gestational age but was not good
for his fragile lungs. On day two of life, Brody had a pulmonary hemorrhage and
his parents nearly lost him. They spent 12 weeks and one day at WVU Children’s
Hospital. Their roller coaster ride stay was one of infections, blood transfusions,
and serious reflux. Today, Brody is a healthy, happy kindergartener who loves
playing Legos, his Nintendo Wii game Skylanders, and going to lunch with
friends!
