What to Expect...
1. After booking your session you should receive this packet full of wonderful information. You should also receive a questionnaire that will give me a little insight into your family and who you are. Please fill that out and email it back to me.
2. We will set a date, time, and location.
3. Leading up to your shoot feel free to be in touch about location and outfit choices. Some families are all set and need little guidance, others want a lot of feedback. Neither is right or wrong. I encourage you to ask questions and never feel as if you are bothering me. Please let me know ASAP if for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule.
4. A few days leading up to your shoot you will get an email from me confirming the date, time, and location.
5. The day of your photo shoot I will meet you at your chosen location. I may arrive 5-10 minutes early to look around and gather ideas. We will chat for a few minutes, I will meet the family, and we will start with some practice shots. You will most likely feel a little odd in front of the camera but after a few minutes it will become second nature. If we have chosen an outdoor location and the weather is not cooperating we will have to reschedule. At this point I will call you to set-up a different time. If I am expected to travel over 15 miles you may have to call me and let me know about the weather.
6. After the photoshoot, and with your consent, I like to post a couple photographs on Facebook to tide you over until your photographs are ready. I am not allowed to “tag” you in the photograph but you can. Feel free to use these photos to show friends and family, but I ask that my watermark not be cropped off the photograph.
7. I then look at each photo taken. I delete the images that have odd facial expressions, or unflattering angles. I then select the best 20-30 images and retouch each one. This takes a great deal of time and I understand the anticipation waiting for your photographs. It typically takes 2 weeks to complete the photographs.
8. After the editing is complete I will upload the photos to a private gallery. You will be sent a password to see the gallery. I will send you an order form and price sheet if you would like to order prints but often clients just email me their orders.
9. I send out for prints or download digital images as quickly as I can. I can then mail your order to you or you can pick them up.
10. Lastly, you display your photographs and love them forever .
