What to Wear...
Family~ If it is a group session it is always nice to coordinate your clothing. This usually starts with one person (usually a girl), and build off of that using similar colors. It’s best to start with 3 or 4 colors and everyone dresses accordingly. Try not to match completely (everyone in jeans and a white t-shirt) but you also don’t want mismatched colors and too many different patterns in one photograph. Textures, accessories, and layers add great dimension to a photograph. They are great ways of showing your unique style while still blending in with the group. They are also easy to change to add a new look or add a pop of color. Get creative!
Notes: Keep in mind that children get dirty. Bring an extra outfit or two. It’s also nice to have photographs of children in very casual clothes getting dirty (but we will save that for the end of the photoshoot). Ladies, don’t forget the nails… nothing is worse than a beautiful moment between a mother and child and all you notice is mom’s bright red chipped nails.
