Child Labour And Abuse By Ayush Jain Child Labour And Abuse | Page 3

I think child labour should be banned, period! No they are poor, they do not mind working, their parents need money and begging is worse than working agreed but both begging and working are worse than studying and playing and that is what any child must do.

I am a very emotional person, and sometimes anger burns within me that makes it almost impossible for me to think clearly, I can very easily talk of feelings, but it’s more difficult for me to write in an intelligent manner about a certain evil and yes I see it as evil. It would be so much easier to spew hate, and show a shade of fear, because what I see as wrong so many others seem to find excusable, or rather excuses for. I read people say I know it’s wrong but…

That thought that ‘but’…scares me. I can smell stink of evil. But today I am going to try for some level of intelligence I hope you forgive me for it.

It is necessary that all children study till class 10 minimum whether they want to or not whether their parents want them to or not, that basic minimum education is required for:

a) So that they are not powerless. Not Choice less. Will not settle for rs.3000 when they are worth rs.5000 or more. Will never be in a situation where they can be exploited.

Any person taking advantage of another person’s weakness for personal gain is in fact exploiting that person.

b) Poor people breed children and why should I be bothered if they are not being good parents, is a thought that doesn’t even understand the problem…

The poor have more children just so they can send them to earn as in bring in more money, they think that is possible because there are employers who are ready to hire children.

I imagined had my child been in this girl’s shoe, would I want my child to come across someone who exploited him or would I want him to come across a person who helped him…and then I just lived my answer.

Don’t you think all each one of us has to do is ask this question of ourselves, and then live our answers?

If we asked ourselves this question we’d never think any child in need of help in front of us wasn’t our responsibility, we’d never feel that society isn’t our responsibility. We’d stop saying…this is wrong but…

Because if it is wrong then that’s just what it is WRONG! Nothing can make it right .

Especially the thought that allows us to think, if I am getting away with it, if my victim is actually not rebelling then what is wrong with exploitation? Victims are choice less. Exploitation of another living creature is wrong without the crutches of any buts, ands, ifs.

Because this thought is evil, it turns us from human 'GODS reflections' into insignificant, insensitive, cruel, uncaring, indifferent creature’s just pretenses of what HUMAN was meant to be.

I hope I am not the only one who sees the evil...
