INDUSTRAIL ACTIVITIES

In case of young children who work in mines and quarries, work for long hours without safety and protection (Know Child Labor, 2005). Child miners usually suffer from muscular and skeletal system problems. according to this feild, Asia accounts for the largest number of young laborers with almost an estimate of 122 million below legal age children (ITUC, 2010).

(Know Child Labor, 2005) highlights that in the rural areas a great number of children age 10 to 14 works on their family farms. Young children also work in industries that include weaving, garment making, gemstone polishing, glassware, fireworks, and other goods. Tasks involve in industrial work impose health issues for young kids because during industrial activities children are exposed to dangerous gases, chemicals, radiant heat and fire that harmfully effect eyesight, respiratory system, and skin.

Domestic work sometimes considered as acceptable form of work, but it has been noticed by the researchers that girls work for many hours at homes and they do not get chance to go to school. Consequently, they stay deprived from education as well as from friends (ITUC, 2010).
