Signs of Child Abuse & Neglect
In some cases of child abuse and neglect, it is obvious what is happening to the child. It is important for one to know the different types of signs because you as an adult can help a child, or you as a child can help another child to tell a safe adult of what is happening. Here is a list of some of the signs associated with child abuse:
Physical Abuse:
-Sudden changes in behavior or school performance
-Has learning problems that cannot be attributed to specific physical or psychological causes.
- Unexplained burns, bites, bruises, broken bones
- Witrhdrawn and/or fearful
- Injuries on child whlllllll
Sexual Abuse::
-.Difficulty walking and/or sitting
-Demonstrates strange, sophisticated, or unusual sexual knowledge or behavior.
-Runs away
-Becomes pregnant or contracts a veneral disease
