Not just a dancer who danced her way happily out of college, Kanika is a photographer keen on capturing things or moments that are majestic. When not capturing or eating, Kanika is exploring places in and around delhi with her friends. classy with the little touch of her expertise, Priyanka gets in talks with our very own Kanika Maurya. Kanika Maurya: To start with, tell us something about yourself? Priyanka Makhijani: Well, I have been working in this profession for almost 7 and half years. It was only after my 12th grade that I developed an interest in make up and all. Actually my mother is also a makeup artist and an amazing hair stylist, and she has been in this for almost 33 years. So, after my high school, my family gave me a chance to first try out my hand in makeup. Then I did a month long course from Dr. Blossom W hen it comes to glamour and charm, the first thing that pops in our mind would be makeup. Especially with the weddings and celebrations, makeup is something that can’t be overlooked. So coming onto this very source of glamour and charm, we came across a very successful and emerging makeup artist, Priyanka Makhijani. Priyanka has worked with some of the prominent Kochhar and I have never looked back since then. All of my time went into shoots and training. I did my graduation from IP university. Even after studying business for 3 years, make up didn’t go off my mind. That was the time I decided to do a diploma in Fashion and Media Makeup from Pearl Academy. After that, I worked with VLCC, Sephora, celebrity’s MUA and designers for magazines, and also worked as a trainer for Monsoon Salons. fashion designers and celebrities till now and very soon she is going to launch her own makeup brand, just for her mother.
