How to brush your dog teeth?

Another imprtant part of taking care of your dog is brush their teeth. Time ago people did not think about the dental health of their dogs, now most owners put attention about the dental care of their puppies. Chihuahuas tend to have oral problems and roughly 3/4 of chihuahuas will develop oral problems by the age of 4 years, so you can take action to stop it.

Begin at-home brushing as early pussible. You need brush your chihuahua's teeth in a place where you dog can feel confortable. You need treat your puppy with love so they will be not afraid when you try to brush their teeth. When you go to wash your dog's teeth do not use brushes or old paste, this is not recommended as it could damage even more the dental care of your dog. Now in pet stores you can find special toothpaste for dogs with differents flavors that they might like to your dog and that could be easier for you to brush their teeth. Morever be sure to brush all sides of your dog's mouth in front, back and tops using a circular motion. You need to use a special toothpaste, never use human toothpaste it is toxic to dogs. Use any flavored toohpaste for dogs for example made with delicate ingredients like beef, chicken, and malt flavos that are completely safe for them. Of course also you need yo use sparingly toothpaste. This depends on the dog's age and size.
